The Russian cyclist Tamara Dronova from our team Cogeas – Mettler – Look was placed 17th in the second stage of the Vuelta A Burgos Spain, disputed between the towns of Pedrosa de Valdeporres and Villarcayo with a route of 97 kilometers.
The second stage, made up of flat terrain and three mountain sections, two of them in the third category, had two mountain passes, the Heights of Bocos and Retuerta, which led the way uphill to the multi-colored batch of women. The multi-colored lot did not allow freedom within the group, but the semi-mountainous terrain provided opportunities for escapes. Tamara Dronova defending her position had managed to climb from 11th to 8th place in the general classification at the end.
The role played as a team by the five members of Cogeas – Mettler – Look, Tamara Dronova, Olga Zabelinskaya, Petra Stiasny, Aigul Gareeva and Gulnaz Khatuntseva, who remain in the race, stands out.
