After three days of great teamwork, the girls of Cogeas Mettler Look Olga Zabelinskaya, Edwige Pitel, Amber Neben, Deborah Paine, Virginie Perizzolo and Valentina Scandolara, ranked second in the final team classification at the Amgen Tour of California.
The race that ended on Saturday, May 18, left the Dutch cyclist Anna van der Breggen of the Boels – Dolmans Cycling Team, who won a time of 8:32:34. In the second position entered her teammate Katie Hall to 0:29 seconds apart, and in the third place came Ashleigh Moolman of the CCC team – Liv 125, 1:06 seconds behind the winner.
The Cogeas Mettler Look cyclists, demonstrating a lot of technical quality and great bravery in the tough Californian event, have achieved second place in the overall team classification, being only surpassed by the Canyon SRAM Racing team, and above many professional teams of renown.
Congratulations to our fellow member of Cogeas Mettler Look. Deborah Paine, who was placed in the “Top Ten” of the girls, finishing in ninth position of the prestigious race.
