Gulnaz Khatuntseva and Maria Novoloskaya won Bronze

Russian riders Gulnaz Khatuntseva of the Cogeas Mettler Look, along with Maria Novolodskaya (former member of the Cogeas Mettler Look), won the Bronze medal in the Madison test of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

The test that was disputed for the first time in the Olympic agenda, had a total of 120 laps, it has been a tough test, at least three falls occurred during the race.

The gold medal of the Madison test was won by the British couple composed of Katie Archibald and Laura Kenny, the silver went to Denmark and the bronze went to Russia, after closing a round of the peloton and getting 20 points. Congratulations to our runner Gulnaz Khatuntseva and to our friend Maria Novolodskaya for this Olympic track cycling history medal.

The experienced North American cyclist Amber Neben of our Cogeas Mettler Look Team, was placed fifth in the Individual Time Trial event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

Neben, who holds two titles of world champion of the specialty against the clock, has been the best time in the first checkpoint, where she imposed a devastating pace, making effective up to that moment the forecasts that placed her in a stage of the podium.

The test was won by the Dutch Annemiek van Vlauten, with a time of 30:13:49. In the second position entered the Swiss Marlen Reusser. Completing the podium by another Dutch Anna van der Breggen.

Finally Amber Neben took the fifth place in the Olympic time trial, eleven seconds away from the bronze medal, demonstrating once again her great efforts and tremendous experience, worthy of applause and congratulations for her courage and spirit of triumph. Congratulations champion !!!

The Cogeas Mettler Look at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

For this edition of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, a total of five runners have managed to qualify from our Cogeas Mettler Look team. On Sunday in the women’s road event, Uzbek Olga Zabelinskaya achieved an outstanding performance, being the most combative on the mountain and putting pressure on the group during the strenuous test, she was placed ninth in the Olympic test. Likewise, her teammate, the Russian Tamara Dronova, had a great race.

Next Tuesday, the North American Amber Neben will enter into action in the time trial, the North American of the Cogeas Mettler Look is one of the favorites to win a medal in the time trial.

Track cycling will take place at the Izu Velodrome, located in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. The Russians Gulnaz Khatuntseva and Diana Klimova will participate in this sports arena in the coming days. Its track is 250 meters long and its made of Siberian Pine wood.

Only five teams worldwide have managed to locate and classify five runners for this edition of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which shows the technical and professional level of our team.

STIASNY PETRA won in Switzerland

The Swiss cyclist of our team Cogeas Mettler Look Petra Stiasny, won this Sunday July 18, the prestigious mountain test Martigny Le Chamble Mauvoisin, a road test that consists of a total route of 38 kilometers of very hard ascent between mountains.

Petra Stiasny finished with a time of 01:24:03, followed by MAGDELEINE MILL and DESIETAIGLE KIDANE, second and third respectively.

Olga and Tamara won in Turkey

Cogeas Mettler Look riders Tamara Dronova and Olga Zabelinskaya have both achieved victories in Turkey. Last Saturday, July 10, Tamara Dronova won the Erciyes Mimar Sinan GP, which had a route of 107 kilometers. The Russian cyclist of the Cogeas Mettler put her compatriot Tatiana Antoshina in second and the Ukrainian Tetiana Yashchrenko was placed third.
For her part, the Uzbek racer Olga Zabelinskaya won the Kayseri GP on Sunday, July 11, which had a hard 84-kilometer route. Russian Tatiana Antoshina was placed on the second place. Ukrainian Leveniia Vysotska was third in the Grand Prix.

With these results, the Cogeas Mettler look team returns to the path of victory in the tough European cycling. Congratulations Tamara and Olga for your victories!
