The Swiss cyclist of our team Cogeas Mettler Look, Petra Stiasny, won the Swiss climbing championship last weekend, the test with a hard ascent of 25 kilometers took place in the town of Chur-Arosa located in the German part of Switzerland.

The president of the Cogeas group, sponsor and founder of said team for more than 20 years, Rubén Contreras Schweizer will give all financial guarantees to the UCI so that the team made up of 10 international riders represents the Swiss colors of our team and Swiss and foreign sponsors that accompany us.
These days during the Olympic Games we had the opportunity to achieve a 5th place with Amber Neben in the individual chrono and a 9th place on the route with Olga Zabelinskaya, we hope to achieve a medal on the track for these next few days with 3 more athletes from our team and with Valère Thiebaud in the men’s category, who is part of our “Espoirs” men’s team and who is a young and great promise of Swiss cycling, this year he is triple Swiss U23 champion and Elite in chrono and route.
Its promotion to the WOMEN WORLD TOUR category and to the Top of the cycling world is due to its multiple sporting successes through the four years since its foundation, the team has participated in the best races of the UCI calendar achieving successful participations in Turkey, Thailand, Sweden, Norway, Tour of California, China, France, Belgium, Tchequia, Chypre, Italy, Finland, Hungary, Austria, Spain en route and track.
In addition to the Women World Tour Team, based in Lausanne, “Capitale Olympique”, we will have a continental female team supporting 10 young female riders in training and a male U23 team with 12 Swiss riders, making a total of 32 riders enrolled in Swiss Cycling.

Russian riders Gulnaz Khatuntseva of the Cogeas Mettler Look, along with Maria Novolodskaya (former member of the Cogeas Mettler Look), won the Bronze medal in the Madison test of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
The test that was disputed for the first time in the Olympic agenda, had a total of 120 laps, it has been a tough test, at least three falls occurred during the race.
The gold medal of the Madison test was won by the British couple composed of Katie Archibald and Laura Kenny, the silver went to Denmark and the bronze went to Russia, after closing a round of the peloton and getting 20 points. The experienced North American cyclist Amber Neben of our Cogeas Mettler Look Team, was placed fifth in the Individual Time Trial event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
Neben, who holds two titles of world champion of the specialty against the clock, has been the best time in the first checkpoint, where she imposed a devastating pace, making effective up to that moment the forecasts that placed her in a stage of the podium.
The test was won by the Dutch Annemiek van Vlauten, with a time of 30:13:49. In the second position entered the Swiss Marlen Reusser. Completing the podium by another Dutch Anna van der Breggen.
Finally Amber Neben took the fifth place in the Olympic time trial, eleven seconds away from the bronze medal, demonstrating once again her great efforts and tremendous experience, worthy of applause and congratulations for her courage and spirit of triumph. Congratulations champion !!!
For this edition of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, a total of five runners have managed to qualify from our Cogeas Mettler Look team. On Sunday in the women’s road event, Uzbek Olga Zabelinskaya achieved an outstanding performance, being the most combative on the mountain and putting pressure on the group during the strenuous test, she was placed ninth in the Olympic test. Likewise, her teammate, the Russian Tamara Dronova, had a great race.
Next Tuesday, the North American Amber Neben will enter into action in the time trial, the North American of the Cogeas Mettler Look is one of the favorites to win a medal in the time trial.
Track cycling will take place at the Izu Velodrome, located in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. The Russians Gulnaz Khatuntseva and Diana Klimova will participate in this sports arena in the coming days. Its track is 250 meters long and its made of Siberian Pine wood.
